Illustration for a heart-shaped vase.

Tot Cor is an artistic, collaborative, and charitable project that appeals to generosity and good feelings. Its main piece is the Cor, a vase made from the heart to remind us of the good in this world.

Pepa Reverter, the creative mind who designed and produced this object, invited me to make my version of one of her hearts.

For this, I took a journey to my other homeland, Mexico. Nantzin means “mother” in Nahuatl, the Aztec language. I dedicate this piece, illustrated with white roses and ancestral symbolism representing life and death, to my mother and Pepa’s, who are no longer with us. It reflects the pain of loss and all the love received, day by day, from sunrise to moonset.

Tot Cor is a solidary project that extends far beyond this vase. It was made to help people who suffer from incurable diseases and, in some cases, people who are invisible to the majority of society. A portion of the profits generated by the sales of this piece and by the sales that they will generate in the future, are and will be donated to research projects and associations such as the Miquel Valls Foundation, with whom we are currently collaborating.
